As Mothers Day approaches, I am compelled to express my appreciation for my mother and the unselfishness she has constantly demonstrated. She will be 90 in October and I am very happy to still be able to pick up the phone and call her or get in the car and go see her. She is still a huge blessing to me. My heart goes out to those whose mothers have died. Let us thank God for all the wonderful things about our mothers, and for those who are still alive, let us show them how much we appreciate them at some point this weekend. If for some reason your mother failed being a mother to you (sometimes it happens), maybe God gave you someone else who was “like” a mother to you. If so, give them a call and show them your gratitude. You will be glad you did.
